Have you ever looked in the mirror and just KNEW that you have gone through the motions for the last time? That NOW is the moment where you go for what makes you tick, thrive! Punching the clock just to PUNCH isn't the way to go anymore? That's me. Right now. Find the Glitter is a mix of what I've done in the past, what I am doing at the moment and what makes me tick. More than anything, my next step will take me to work for a company that sells, markets or publishes something I LOVE and BELIEVE IN. And if that isn't out there, then I want to help YOU design and market your brand - so that YOU can thrive, too! Gimme a shout! Let's work something out! Ideally, I will ultimately find both!
I was so impressed with this young musician, I decided to take my love for design and marketing and marry it to my love of rock and roll. What started as a few gig posters has morphed into a full management relationship which includes merchandise design, sourcing and production, posters, website, social media, bookings and more. There is more information about this incredible partnership on his successful GoFundMe campaign page at www.gofundme.com/tommy606.

Joe and Angie Sorge, founders of Hospitality Democracy, launched their consulting business in 2018. Immediately they were courted (no pun intended) by the Milwaukee Bucks leadership to enhance the consumer experience at the brand new Fiserv Forum. After nearly a decade of working with the Sorge’s they invited me to provide creative for several new project, one of which launched in November. CandyLab is a Wonka-inspired oasis in the heart of the Fiserv Forum. Other projects are still in progress and will be added when consumable (another pun) by the public.
I have been the designer of record for Milwaukee's HOSPITALITY DEMOCRACY RESTAURANT GROUP for more than 6 years. Logos, Menus, Marketing Collateral, Signage, Interior and Exterior Graphics, Package Design and other Collateral.
Let's do this, for you!
Venue collateral and signage for both the cafe and working space, as well as special events like the Third Ward Harley-Davidson celebration in 2018.
I joined the Verlo Mattress team shortly after it was acquired by the Marcus Family (theaters, hotels, restaurants). My role as art director quickly morphed into a creative catch-all that included product design, vendor relations, team attire, retail spaces, interior and exterior signage, front-end website and app design and more. I was the creative lead for a total re-branding effort, including; iconography, interior and exterior design and way-finding, total website redesign and the creation, implementation and documentation of brand standards. Day to day tasks included marketing creative for 24 corporate and franchise retail stores; supervision of a creative team including an intern, a graphic designer, a writer and a project manager; direction and set-styling, model acquisition and selection in-studio and on-site still, product and video.

I have been freelancing for years. Anything from posters for Miss Cupcake in Shorewood, collateral for the department of Engineering at Marquette University, how-to illustrations for the Hello, Cupcake series, license plate for the Wisconsin MACC fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc), restaurants, special events and more. Logos, letterhead, package design, signage, e-blasts and more.
Karma Project? Being a designer means that I am certainly not going to cure cancer or build bridges to better the world. BUT...I can make a difference by offering my skills to organizations that can benefit from them. Even as far back as Iron Cupcake, I always made sure that there was a charitable angle added to every event. Collect mittens, school supplies, care packages for soldiers, raise money for local groups. Call me crazy, but this is the stuff that makes me feel good. Now that FIND THE GLITTER (FTG) is up and running, I will be taking on one Karma Project per quarter. I will be announcing the first official FTG project in early October. Now, that's what I call finding the glitter!

For years, I have found myself thriving in the midst of event planning. It started with IronCupcake, a local baking competition that I started and morphed into so much more. Since those cupcake days, I have run concerts, fan parties, fund raisers, charitable gatherings and more. Maybe you aren't looking for a full-on party planner, but need help navigating the steps to a successful event. Whether you are hosting or 30 or 3000, I've been there. Let me help. Suggestions, finding vendors, decorating hacks. I've got you covered.
There is not much that I love more than a live concert and the emotions on the faces of those musicians. I love to capture them so that I can relive those moments again and again. You can be sure, that the look on MY face, was filled with bliss.
